William A. Irving

1963-2009

PORTLAND – William A. Irving Jr., 45, of Cumberland, died Friday at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Portland, Nov. 16, 1963, the son of William A. and Kathryn Heinonen Irving Sr. He attended Gray-New Gloucester schools and faithfully served his country in the Navy. He owned and operated his own business, Gray Stone Inc., designing and installing granite countertops. He was very proud of the quality work he did. Bill enjoyed racing at Oxford Plains Speedway, beginning in the truck series, and then moving to the mini stock series. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and going to camp at Eustis. He had many friends and was always ready to help everyone. On May 14, 1983, he married Kelly Leduc.

He is survived by his wife, of Cumberland; his mother, Kathryn of Gray; his father, William and stepmother, Patricia, of Gray; his children, Megan, Billy III and Elizabeth, all of Cumberland; a brother, Wesley, of New Gloucester; and an adopted sister, Tori of Gray; and his mother-in-law, Beverly Douse of Portland
