RUMFORD — Oktoberfest will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, at the Hope Association building on Lincoln Avenue (formerly the Armory).

Thirty tables filled with crafts, baked goods, white elephants and raffles will fill the area. There will be tables of children’s games and activities and the Rotary will have a used book sale. There will be a children’s book room again this year.

Rotary Interact will be on hand to serve a pancake breakfast and pizza lunch. Paul Jones will make his famous Silver Lake apple crisp again this year and some vendors will have food for sale. Hope Association will sell raffle tickets on several items that will be on display.

There will be children’s games with prizes for all including a ring toss, the racehorse wheel and a bean bag toss.

There is no admission to Oktoberfest. The day benefits the Hope Association and Rumford Area Rotary’s charities and scholarships.
