Katie Lawrence and Thomas Torrington

FARMINGTON — Robert and Sally Lawrence of Farmington are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Katie Lawrence of Bluffton, S.C., to Thomas Torrington of Bluffton, S.C., son of Rawn and Jude Torrington of Manchester.

Miss Lawrence is a 1999 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Maine at Farmington. She is a first-grade teacher in Hilton Head, S.C.

Mr. Torrington is a 1999 graduate of Winthrop High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Colorado in Boulder. He is an instructor at Hank Haney International Junior Golf Academy.

A July wedding is planned at Saddleback in Rangeley.
