BETHEL — The 29th annual Bethel Outing Club ski sale will feature more than a dozen ski shops from throughout northern New England and thousands of alpine, telemark, cross-country, snowboard and outdoor items. The sale will be held from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 and from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 31, at the Gould Academy Field House, Church Street.

In an effort to sell more quality used equipment, all used gear (other than ski shop items) not sold or removed by the seller at the close of the sale Friday night will be on sale Saturday at half price. Individuals are invited to bring non-obsolete equipment to sell, subject to a 15 percent consignment fee, after noon on Friday, Oct. 30. Tags will be available at the sale for 50 cents each tag. For “express check-in,” tags are available in advance at the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce, with up to four tags for free and 25 cents each additional tag. Those with more than four items are encouraged to complete their tickets prior to the sale.

Details about the ski sale and the club are available at www.bethelouting.org.

Since 1980, sale proceeds have provided ski equipment to the cross-country ski programs in the local schools, free or low-cost instruction and coaching and a variety of outdoor programs for children and adults. Dozens of volunteers are required to run the sale. To arrange a time slot to volunteer, contact Beth Clarke at [email protected].
