The Police Department responded to 66 complaints from 6 a.m. Oct. 11 to 6 a.m. Oct. 18.
Arrests/summonses:
Oct. 12 at 10:10 p.m.: Matheau Wilson, 33, of Dixfield was arrested by Patrolman Scott Landis in Dixfield on a charge of violation of a protection order. Wilson posted $800 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Oct. 15 at 11:10 a.m.: Scott Towers, 20, of Mexico, was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard on charges of burglary and assault in Mexico. Towers posted $1,500 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in South Paris Superior Court on Jan. 15.
Oct. 15 at 11:15 a.m.: Joshua Messier, 26, of Andover, was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on charges of burglary and assault and Patrolman Michael Belanger for a warrant from Franklin County. Messier was unable to post bail, transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris and is scheduled to appear in South Paris Superior Court on Jan. 15.
Oct. 15 at 2:15 p.m.: Marlene Viger, 59, of Rumford was arrested by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Hancock Street on a charge of domestic assault. Viger posted $1,500 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Oct. 15 at 5:20 p.m.: Clifford Burns, 27, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Scott Landis on Prospect Avenue with illegal possession of drug paraphernalia. Burns is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Dec. 8.
Oct. 17 at 6:25 p.m.: Michael P. Moore, 25, of Rumford was arrested by Cpl. Matthew Noyes on Waldo Street on charges of operating under the influence and operating after suspension. Moore posted $1,500 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Rumford District Court on Jan. 5.
Assault
Oct. 15 at 3:46 p.m.: Royal Avenue residents reported their son was assaulted at the high school. Suspect has been suspended from school and charges are being reviewed by Juvenile Intake.
Oct. 15 at 5:20 p.m.: Cumberland Street resident reported his adult stepson assaulted him. Suspect located and victim refused to press charges.
Criminal mischief
Oct. 12 at 12:10 a.m.: Officer on patrol found damage to a basketball hoop at a Franklin Street school. Estimated $50 damage to hoop and case is under investigation.
Burglary
Oct. 13 at 8:06 a.m.: Rumford Parks reported someone broke into the snack shack at Hosmer Field. No damage amount listed and nothing was taken. The case is under investigation
Theft
Oct. 11 at 12:33 a.m.: Cumberland Street business reporting juvenile shoplifter stealing four ice cream bars. Business refused to press charges.
Oct. 14 at 2:07 p.m.: Penobscot Street resident reported theft of a gas blower and vacuum valued at $175 each stolen from his garage. The case is under investigation.
Oct. 15 at 12:35 p.m.: Milton Plantation resident reported theft of a lawnmower valued at $2,000 stolen from their property by their former tenants. The case is under investigation.
Oct. 15 at 8:17 p.m.: Dixfield resident reported theft of a CD player valued at $200 stolen from his vehicle parked on Hosmer Lane. The case is under investigation.
Wanted
Shane M. Richard, 24, of Milton Township is wanted for failure to pay fines for unlawful possession of schedule drugs.
