Fruit sale
DIXFIELD — Dixfield Seventh-day Adventist Elementary School and Pathfinder Church Youth Group is having a fruit fundraiser.
Tree-ripened ruby red grapefruit and navel oranges from Florida in various sizes are available to order. Orders will be taken once a month through March. The last day to order for November delivery is Friday, Nov. 6, and the fruit will be ready to pick up from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16, at the Dixfield Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1 Blayne and Weld streets.

Society meeting
MEXICO — The Mexico Historical Society will meet on Tuesday, Oct. 27, in
the Calvin Lyons meeting room. A potluck dinner will be at 5:30 p.m., followed by the business meeting and speaker Norman Vashaw. Vashaw’s topic will be “Logging as I Remember It.” Anyone who has old pictures or
memorabilia is welcome to bring them. The board of directors will meet
at 4:30 p.m., prior to the meeting.
The Historical Museum will be closed for the winter on Nov. 1 and will reopen in May. Anyone needing information about the Society or
wishing to make a donation to the museum, may call Calvin Lyons at

Library program
MEXICO — As part of the Mexico Public Library’s Wonderful
Wednesdays monthly programs, the library will host a Pumpkin Party for
kids ages 2 to 10. The party will take place from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 28, and will be held at the Calvin Lyons Hall next door
to the library, in the lower level of the Town Hall building.
Although not necessary, kids are encouraged to attend in Halloween
costumes. There will be stories, games, crafts and goodies to eat. For

Lodge meeting
RUMFORD — The Gorizia Lodge 467 of the Sons of Italy will meet at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. All members are encouraged to attend.
