NEW GLOUCESTER – Verge New England Championship Cyclo-cross returns to Maine this weekend with a stop at one of the most scenic venues in the series. Pineland Farms will play host to the fourth stop in the seven-weekend series Saturday and Sunday.

Top bicycle racers from the United States and Canada will showcase their fitness and skills as they battle for nearly $10,000 in prize money. The Maine Cycling Club has put together a challenging course that combines the cross country ski trails and undulating grounds of the campus. The venue with a view of Mt. Washington in the backdrop is one of the favorite stops in the series. Pineland Farms is a 5,000-acre working farm, diverse business campus and educational and recreational venue with a beautiful rural landscape.

Racing starts at 8:30 a.m. each day with 11 categories being contested. There will be classes for all ability levels and ages. Spectators are encouraged to attend as cyclo-cross is one of the easiest racing formats to watch.
