LEWISTON — Friday, Oct. 23, Southern musicians Raina Rose and Rebecca Loebe will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries. Rose is a boot-stomping singer-songwriter of Americana-folk songs. Her songs tell of long travels, fictional characters, time that plays tricks and the tricks that governments play, all done with biting honesty.

Loebe is best known for her songbird voice, spirited live shows and effervescent wit. Fans of the Americana-folk tradition identify with her breezy storytelling, while audiences of mainstream pop rock appreciate her catchy original songs.

The show will start at 9 p.m. with a performance by Fred Gillen Jr., who was voted Best Folk Artist for three consecutive years by readers of Westchester Weekly in upstate New York.

There is no cover. Guthries is at 115 Middle St. For more information, call 376-3344.
