LEWISTON — The Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area and Kurk Lalemand, owner of NEXT Level Business Coaching, are offering a six-week series of seminars geared to help a company grow and develop its employees personally and professionally. Each session will be held at the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston, in the conference room and will last from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. The series will begin Nov. 4 and continue until Dec. 16. Cost for the series is $79.
Session topics for each date have been announced:
Nov. 4 — Introduction: Explore the breadth of personal development and how to make it happen.
Nov. 11 — Asking for What you Want: Learn how to make a request for action that is unmistakable. Learn how to ask for a correction of poor performance. Learn how to get what you want with straightforward language and integrity.
Nov. 18 — Running a Meeting: Learn 10 actions you can take to run a meeting that is actually a productive work session.
Dec. 3 — How to Make a Good Second Impression: Learn how to frame your situation from a perspective that ensures your attitude is positive, focused and energized.
Dec. 9 — Time Management: Learn how to use planning, calendars, organizers and functional “to do” lists. Get where you need to be, plan for a productive meeting, project or year.
Dec. 16 — Giving and Receiving Feedback: By using a few simple rules and a couple of communication scripts, you can provide feedback to anyone in the organization that gets you what you want.
