Event canceled
LEWISTON — St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion has canceled the annual Halloween trick-or-treating event out of concern for the safety of the children and residents. Each year, more than 700 children visit d’Youville for the event. With concerns about H1N1 (swine flu) hitting children in the community, St. Mary’s does not want to put them or the residents at risk as they mingle during the event. They look forward to opening the doors to the community next Halloween.
