LEWISTON — October marks the 25th anniversary of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Each year at this time St. Mary’s Health System tries to educate the
community about the disease, including the best detection methods and
latest treatment options.
Dotty Guild, RN, OCN, from St. Mary’s Breast Health Program, will
discuss screening guidelines and answers questions about breast
cancer. The discussion will take place from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at Waldenbooks in the Auburn Mall.
Guild has been a nurse at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for more
than 25 years. She has a special interest in breast health and oncology
and has spent many years in this scope of practice. She is certified in
oncology and chemotherapy. Guild is on the board of the local chapter of the Oncology Nurses Society.
