Therese Langlois
1929 – 2009
LEWISTON — Therese Langlois passed away with family at her side on Oct. 27, a few days after suffering a stroke. She was living at Montello Heights since 2007.
Born in Lewiston on May 8, 1929, she was the daughter of Willie and Agnes Morin Mailhot. Mrs. Langlois grew up on Horton Street and attended St. Peter’s School and St. Dominic High School. In 1952, she married Roger Langlois upon his return from duty in Korea.
Together, they raised a family at 14 Parker St., where they lived for 51 years and were parishioners of Sainte Croix Church. Mrs. Langlois was employed as an operator and supervisor by New England Bell, until her retirement in 1986, after 40 years service.
After retirement, she and her husband enjoyed traveling and taking winter vacations to Florida. She spent many days and vacations at Old Orchard Beach and was an avid Pinochle player. Her great pride were her children’s accomplishments and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Langlois is survived by her husband, who lives at Bolster Heights in Auburn; son and daughter-in-law, Ray and Liliana of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Peter Wagner of Wyman; and son, Greg and his partner, David of Portland. Also surviving are her sister and brother-in-law, Constance and Bertrand Sutton; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard and Claudette Mailhot and Paul and Debi Mailhot; and sister-in-law, Yvette Langlois. The grandchildren include Jason and Kevin Sirois, Kimberly Jasniewski and Elliott and Christine Langlois. Great-grandchildren are Michael, Sebastian, Dylan, Cole, Devon Samara and Hayleigh Sirois.
The family wishes to thank Doctors Kappelmann and Austin, the staff of Montello Heights and Hospice House for the loving care they gave Therese.

LANGLOIS — Therese died Oct. 27. Visitation Fortin/Lewiston Thursday, 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at St. Peter’s Cemetery Mausoleum, Friday 2 p.m., with entombment to follow.
