Members of Farmington Fire Rescue and Auxiliary are planning a Haunted Maize on Friday and Saturday night at York’s Corn Maize on Route 2 in Farmington. There will be wandering gorillas, wicked witches and other mysterious creatures. Proceeds from the event, $6 admission, will benefit the department’s Benevolent Association. Members gathered at the Farmington Fire Station Wednesday night to work on plans and costumes before heading to the maze.
Many of the costumes were donated by the Knowlton Corner Farm, said chairperson Patty Cormier. The Haunted Maize will be open from 6 to 8:30 p.m. each night. Pictured going over the plans are Jennings Pinkham, Cormier and Richard Knight.
