Bobby G. Bailey Sr.

1938 – 2009

ELLENTON, Fla. – Bobby G. Bailey Sr., 71, of Bradenton, Fla., formerly of Lewiston, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 27, in Ellenton, Fla.

He was born in Tyronza, Ark., July 16, 1938, the son of the late William B. and Virgia M. Elliott Bailey.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy and later in the Army National Guard.

He was married March 29, 1958, to the love of his life, Jeannette M. Collins, who predeceased him on Aug. 6, 2003. He moved to Florida later in 2003 where he enjoyed the warm weather.

He was employed with the I.B.E.W. as an electrical contractor and was a member of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Lewiston, the Elks Lodge and the Eagles Club.

He enjoyed golfing, wood working, traveling and collecting guns, knives and coins. But most of all he enjoyed spending precious time with his family and was known as a man of many stories.

He is survived by three daughters, Lora Morin and husband, Richard, of Turner, Billie Chartier and husband, Gary, and Susan Barajas and husband, Juan, all of Lewiston; two sons, Michael Bailey and Bobby G. Bailey Jr., both of Monmouth; nine  grandchildren, Jeannette Bailey, Ashley Aube, Olivia Bailey, Amanda Bailey, Craig Chartier, Danielle Chartier, Joseph Couture, Estevan Barajas and Jessica Barajas; two great-grandchildren, Shaley and Shamus West; two sisters, Bonnie Hughes of Indiana,  and Peggy Neal and husband, Jim, of Alabama; and a brother, Wafford Bailey of Alabama.
