LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens met at Murray Hall on Nov. 2 with 30 members and one guest present.
Chairwomen Shirley Couture opened the meeting with a prayer, flag salute and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the armed forces.
Reported on the sick list were Geraldine Richards at CMMC Hospital and Irene Hebert.
Joe Slovak was welcomed back. Rep. Paul Gilbert spoke to the group about Tax and Rent Rebate Applications that are now available. He will be back again to help people and figure out if they qualify for the rebate.
The meal for Thanksgiving was discussed. It will be held on Monday, Nov. 16.
The 50/50 was won by Marilyn Desoto and the door prize, donated by Alice Demoras, was also won by Desoto. Couture reminded everyone to vote on Nov. 3.
Beano and other card games were played.
The meeting was adjourned and refreshments made by Couture were served.
