LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice is seeking individuals who have office skills to provide support on a regular basis in the agency’s Lewiston office.
With significant growth in the hospice program, the agency needs additional office volunteers in the Hospice Department. Individuals with office experience are needed for projects that include alphabetizing records, computer input and assembling packets and charts.
Office volunteers are especially needed on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, although opportunities may be available on other days as well. Typically, volunteers provide assistance between two to four hours a week.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who wants to help Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice, but is not able to take on a volunteer role with patients,” said Nancy Greene, AHCH volunteer coordinator. “A volunteer’s contribution to the completion of office projects helps make it possible for the agency to meet patient and family needs in a different but equally rewarding capacity. They are appreciated for the individual talents they bring to the tasks at hand and as a member of the office team.”
For more information or to become an office volunteer, contact the Volunteer Department at 777-7740. All new volunteers are required to participate in training and complete appropriate paperwork.
