LEWISTON — The Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St., will conduct a workshop for local students and parents on the process of applying for financial aid for college from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 16,
Joan Macri of College for ME Androscoggin will be on hand in the library’s Couture Conference Room on the first floor to answer questions on filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Macri, associate director for LearningWorks at USM and formerly aspirations coordinator and a long-time teacher at Lewiston High School, will explain the FAFSA process and deadlines, offer tips on financial aid resources that may be unfamiliar to many and answer questions. She will follow up with a second workshop at the library in January just before the FAFSA deadline.
The one-hour session is free and there is no preregistration. Questions may be directed to the Lewiston Public Library Reference Desk at 513-3135.
