Widows group

RUMFORD — The WOWS (Widows or Widowers Sharing) will meet at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 20, at the Rumford Senior Citizens, 50 Congress St. The entertainment will be 1950s, 1960s and 1970s music sung by Bob Elliott, Sally Jones and Jeanie Stone, comprising Act V. Refreshments will be served by Anna Shaw, Yvonne Elliott and Mildred Carver.

Holiday fair

RUMFORD — The Parish of the Holy Savior, 126 Maine Ave., will have its Holiday
Christmas Fair to benefit the Holy Savior School, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov.
21. There will be handmade crafts, homemade goodies,
candy, fudge, raffles, a Chinese auction and Christmas attic
treasures.

There will be a kids corner and much more. A hot turkey luncheon will begin at 10:30 a.m., for
$7 for adults, $5 for seniors and children, or homemade Italian sandwiches

Craft fair

CANTON — The Canton Cruisers Relay for Life team will sponsor a holiday craft fair and home demonstration show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21, at the new fire station on Route 108. Items will include Pampered Chef, Tupperware, Longaberger Baskets, Boyds Bears, Yankee candles, Webkinz, Annalee Dolls, Stampin’ Up, Tastefully Simple, Mary Kay, honey products, wood crafts, music boxes, handcrafted scrapbooks, jewelry, porcelain dolls and a bake sale.

Open house

MEXICO — Region 9 will host its annual open house from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 17. The open house is an opportunity for students, parents and community members to tour the school and learn more about the program offerings. Each program will be featuring student work, actual student demonstrations or informational exhibitions. Punch and cookies will also be available in the cafeteria.
