AUBURN — New England favorite Tom Hayes and 2006 Boston Comedy Festival winner Dan Boulger will top a bill of comedy and contrasting styles Saturday, Nov. 21, at the Fireside Inn & Suites.

Since the Showtime cable network selected Hayes as the “Funniest Person in Boston” in 1986, he’s been a staple on the New England comedy scene, working clubs, restaurants and theaters. Also an accomplished salesman and businessman, he works a steady diet of corporate shows as well, as both a corporate humorist and a motivational speaker.

Boulger, on the other hand, is a young gun described by The Boston Globe at age 19 in 2005 as a “comedian on the rise.” He proved that publication right the next year, when he beat out 160 other comedians from around the country to win the stand-up contest at The Boston Comedy Festival. He has since performed on television in England as well as on Comedy Central’s “Live at Gotham,” and has toured at colleges around the country.

Hayes and Boulger will be joined by host Hamilton Johnson.

The Fireside Inn & Suites hosts Fireside Comedy at 8 p.m. on Saturdays. Tickets are $14 for show only ($12 with a reservation), $25 for dinner-and-show. For reservations, call 777-1777. The Fireside Inn & Suites is at 1777 Washington St., at Exit 75 of the Maine Turnpike. For more information, visit www.scampscomedy.com.
