LEEDS — Funeral services were held Friday, Nov. 20, at the Leeds Community Church, for Bernard W. “Sonny” Hathaway. The Rev. Stephen Hastings from the Leeds Community Church officiated at the service. Organist Jerol Ellis played hymns “Amazing Grace” and “Morning has Broken.” Scripture readings were Psalm 23, Ecclesiastes 3 and John 14. “It is Well Within my Soul” was sung by Sam Jackson. “Inch by Inch, Row by Row” was sung by the Rev. Stephen Hastings. Memories were shared by family and friends. Pallbearers were J.D. Blair, Fred Davis, Morral, Eric, Todd and Ian Nason. A light luncheon was served at the church hall. Military honors were performed at the cemetery. Services were under the care of Bragdon-Finley Funeral Home, Monmouth. Interment at Keen’s Mills Cemetery, Turner.
