RUMFORD — Announcement is made of the engagement of Ashley D. Monaghan and Steve A. Dyer Sr., both of Rumford.

Miss Monaghan is the daughter of Stephanie Wilson of Rumford and David Monaghan of Miami Shores, Fla. She is a 2000 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is studying early childhood education at Andover College. She is employed at the Mexico Chicken Coop.

Mr. Dyer is the son of Tina Dyer of Lewiston and Ellery Dyer of Hartford. He is a 1998 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is an NDT technician with Acuren Inspection out of Iron Mountain, Mich.

A September wedding is planned.
