LISBON — The Lisbon Revitalization Committee is sponsoring a holiday night out, A Very Merry Main Street, in Lisbon Falls on Saturday, Dec. 5. The event will include a tree lighting, Santa Claus, refreshments, tours and special participation by many Lisbon businesses.

Officials will light the town Christmas tree at 4:30 p.m. at Gazebo Park on Route 196 across from Lisbon High School. Immediately following, the Lisbon Revitalization Committee will offer seasonal refreshments. Many merchants on Main Street will host open houses from 5 to 8 p.m. They will include Maurice Bonneau’s Sausage Kitchen, Mike’s Flooring, Tangles and Maria’s Wool Menagerie.

Additional activities will include Santa Claus visiting children at
the Lisbon Falls Fire Station until 8 p.m. Family photos with Santa will be sponsored
by the Lisbon Falls Library and will be available for $3 at the Fire Station.

Strolling
carolers from the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church will sing and the musical group Present Company will play Christmas classics inside Drapeau’s
Costumes of Maine from 6 to 7 p.m.

Other businesses will host special events that night. The Maine Art Glass Studio will offer free bug tours at its Butterfly and Insect Museum. Hairs Too You will be hosting a purse party with Tupperware and Mary Kay representatives. Tangles is offering gift wrapping, raffles and a discount to anyone who brings in a food item to donate to LACO, the local food bank. Many other businesses will offer discounts and holiday specials on their products and services. For more information, contact the town at 353-3000.
