It is time for the town of Poland to cut back on a few programs, like pre-kindergarten for 4-year-olds. These children are still babies and some are still in diapers.
The expense of teachers (babysitters) and the buses is ridiculous. Imagine a 4-year-old on a huge bus in a blinding snowstorm without being in a safety seat.
Cutting this program alone would save thousands of dollars and is not necessary. As a former Poland resident and relative of many people still living there, I don’t think teachers and school workers should take the hit on a decrease in pay when there are other alternatives.
