Linda Lee Doiron
1949 – 2009
RUMFORD — Linda Lee Doiron, 60, a resident of Andover Road in Rumford Center, died suddenly Sunday, Nov. 29, at her residence. She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and educator.
She was born in Rumford, Jan. 21, 1949, the daughter of Lee and Katherine (Gautreau) Lawler. She married Michael Winston in December 1971. He passed away in October 1973. She married Randall Doiron on Oct. 14, 1977.
She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s College, Class of 1971, and was a kindergarten teacher in the Rumford school system for more than 30 years. She had a great passion for teaching and loved all of her students, often telling stories about them.
She is survived by her parents, Kay and Lee Lawler of Mexico; her husband, Randall Doiron of Rumford Center; three sons, Matthew Winston of Portland, Gabriel Doiron of Windham, and Jesse Doiron and wife, Alexandria, of East Waterboro; a daughter, Asha Renee Doiron of Loma Linda, Calif.; three sisters, Elayne Lawler and husband, Gary Gallant, of Andover, Lee Ann Don and husband, Tim, of Mexico and Kathy Tozier and husband, Gary, of Roxbury; two grandchildren, Rhiannon J. Doiron of Brunswick and Hunter L. Doiron of East Waterboro; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Michael Winston.
She loved volunteering in the orphanages in Haiti and schools in Peru. She blessed us with her love, taught us with her spirit, and honored us with precious friendship.
