SOUTH PARIS — At the recent annual 4-H Achievement Night, 4-H volunteers Priscilla Hebert and Cindy Ouellette and 4-H members Amanda Barton and Raymond Gushee Frost were recognized and presented with plaques.
Priscilla Hebert, a leader of the Hebron Heartbreakers 4-H Club, works with her club participating in many county and state events including community service projects, Eastern States and county fairs. She is a long time volunteer, active in Oxford County Leaders Association helping to provide positive youth development opportunities for Oxford County youth.
Cindy Ouellette, leader of the What Ever 4-H Club, works to provide a wide variety of fun and educational activities to youth in her club. This past summer, she taught gardening workshops to Oxford County youth through the Kids Can Grow Program. Ouellette and her 4-Hers are involved with many county activities such as 4-H Showcase, Agricultural Education Day, county fair and Bryant Pond Youth Camp and Learning Center.
Amanda Barton, member of the Stubborn Mules 4-H Club, has been involved with her club and at the county level including Eastern States, Agricultural Education Day and public demonstrations with her horse project and at county fairs. Barton is home-schooled and takes an active role in her education. She enjoys learning, helping and teaching others.
Raymond Gushee Frost, a member of the Saco Valley 4-H Beef, Dairy and Sheep Club, has earned many awards for his work in the livestock program. He has contributed by sharing his skills and knowledge and teaching others about raising and showing animals. He has been on the Beef Expo team showing at Eastern States and participates in many club and community service projects.
Tyler Packard, a member of the Hebron Nites 4-H Club, received an Outstanding 4-H Achievement Award for two
years of service projects focused on outdoor learning at the Bryant
Pond 4-H Camp and Learning Center. His positive attitude,
encouragement to others, overall commitment and willingness to go the
extra mile serve him well as he works toward becoming a Junior Maine
Guide.
