Boys’ Basketball
Coach: Doug Rines (second year)
Last year’s record: 7-12, lost in Western D quarterfinals
Returning letter winners: Seniors -Nathan Corson (5-10 forward), Jarek Boyd (5-8 guard); Junior – Kasey Robertson (6-4 center); Sophomore – Austin Dooley (5-10 guard).
Key losses: Brian Litchfield (forward), Tyler Weymouth (forward), Kyle Rines (guard), Norman Jack (forward).
Promising newcomers: Seniors – Isaac Smith (5-10 forward), Jacob Chicoine (5-8 guard), Altan-oc Erdenechuluun (5-10 guard).
Outlook: The Bucks don’t have a lot of varsity experience, so Rines isn’t sure what to expect from his team. Corson, Boyd, Robertson and Dooley all came off the bench last year. Erdenechuluun, an exchange student from Mongolia, has shown promise at the point guard spot. They hope to contend for one of the top three spots in the EWC but will need to jell quickly to do that.
Coach’s comment: “We’re going to have a really, really young team. We don’t know what to expect yet.”
