LEWISTON — Single mothers can receive assistance in providing a Christmas for their children, through “Hope for the Holidays,” an annual program of Hope House.

A Christmas celebration will be held at 6 p.m., Friday, Dec. 11, at Court Street Baptist Church in Auburn. The evening of holiday activities is open to any single mom and her children.

A dinner will be served by the women of the church and there will be a Christmas skit and gifts from Hope House. Children will be treated to Christmas activities while their moms shop for free toys and other items.

Volunteers have been busy with the annual toy drive and collection boxes have been placed throughout the community.

For more information, contact Hope House Director Bruce Willson at 777-3776 or Hope House’s Local Care Coordinator, Narnia Krapovicky, at 786-9938.
