Returning letter winners: Girls: Seniors – Nola Dixon, Lizzie Chenard; Juniors – Annah Houston, Molly McCafferty; Sophomore – Delani Littlefield. Boys: Seniors – Jake Carlton, Devin Littlefield, Phil Coffren, Brian Lambert; Junior – Eric Mitchell; Sophomores – Nick Carlton, Trent Rosenberg.
Key losses: Girls: Emma James, Maria Parrett, Rachel Dennison, Elysha Dyar.
Promising newcomers: Girls: Junior – Holly Thomas; Freshman – Sadie James. Boys: Freshman – Jay Chenard.
Outlook: The girls lost three of the top skiers from the reigning MVC Nordic champions, but Chenard and Houston had strong seasons and are prepared to lead the team. The nucleus of the boys’ squad returns intact, topped by Jake Carlton and Littlefield. Each team welcomes last year’s Class A middle school champion to the fold in James (girls) and Jay Chenard (boys). It should be another strong winter for the Roadrunners.
Coach’s comment: “The girls look to repeat as MVC Nordic and combined champions, and the boys also look to have a decent shot at MVCs.”
