Returning letter winners: Girls: Seniors – Emily Deane, Amanda Hall, Abbi Davis; Junior – Eliza Richard; Sophomores – Abby Ellis, Heather Farrington. Boys: Jared Foster, Alex Witt, Harris Roberts, Sam Prentiss, Shane Smith, North Kay, Tim Andrews, Dean Ellis.
Key losses: Boys: Nick Lewis, Quinn Hathaway.
Promising newcomers: Girls: Kate Lewis, Hannah Gibson.
Outlook: The reigning KVAC and Class A champion girls’ team returns intact, even adding a couple of promising freshmen and a sophomore (Farrington) who broke her leg early last season. Mt. Blue’s boys were second in the state and will be tough again with Smith, Prentiss and Roberts leading the way.
Coach’s comment: “The attitude and atmosphere among the athletes is better than I have seen in quite a few years. They are ready to pick up the plow and drop the hammer.”
