LEWISTON — The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce is leading the drive to “Stuff the Bus” with toys for the hundreds of kids in Androscoggin County who need help at Christmas.

This year, the Chamber and the Young Professionals of the Lewiston-Auburn Area are teaming with Androscoggin County Head Start, Advocates for Children and Tri-County Mental Health Services for the event.

The goal is to gather as many donated gifts as the Chamber has members, more than 1,350.

Everyone interested in donating unwrapped items, which include toys and clothes appropriate for children from birth to 18 years, has a number of options to get the items to the Chamber.

Items may be brought to the Chamber, 415 Lisbon St., or call the office at 783-2249 and someone will pick items up in the Chamber Kids for the Holidays bus on Wednesday, Dec. 16 (local pick up only). Items may also be brought to the Chamber breakfast between 7:15 and 8:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 10, at the Ramada Inn or to the Business After Hours between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17,
at Lost Valley in Auburn.

Another option is to help stuff the bus by dropping items by the Chamber Kids for the Holidays bus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Auburn Mall.

To learn more about the Chamber and membership benefits, contact Alice Chamberlin Mogensen at 783-2249 or e-mail [email protected].
