LIVERMORE FALLS — The Jay Livermore Falls Senior Citizens met on Nov. 30 at Murray Hall with 29 members present.
Chairwoman Shirley Couture opened the meeting with prayer, a salute to the flag and a moment of silence for deceased members and for the men and women in the Armed Forces.
George Doiron led the group in singing a few Christmas songs.
Gerry Richards has returned home and is recuperating.
Paul Gilbert has offered to take the group through a tour of the State House. The group decided to wait until spring when the weather is more predictable. More discussion will follow.
Members sang “Happy Birthday” to those celebrating birthdays in November: George Doiron, Maggie Dufour, Jeannine Williams, Doris Ouellette and Lois Goding.
Those wanting to sign up for the Christmas meal must do so no later than Monday, Dec. 7. The meal will be on Monday, Dec. 14. The rip-off game will be played and everyone is asked to bring a $5 wrapped gift with their name inside.
Beano will be played next week.
The 50-50 was won by Athanase Couture and the raffle was won by Alice DeMoras.
The meeting was adjourned and cards and games were played.
