WILTON — A public meeting on proposed town road projects takes place at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the public safety meeting room at the Police and Fire station on Main Street.

John Welch, public works director, will describe the purpose of a recently formed Road Committee and the road projects and costs that are now under consideration. The committee will also listen to citizen’s ideas about specific roads to consider as the committee prioritizes projects. The meeting is open to everyone who has an interest in the town’s road projects.

The committee was charged by town selectmen to identify needed work and repairs on town roads and develop a plan to prioritize and schedule the work for coming years. The committee will also devise a plan for annual paving maintenance and cost estimates for each project for the annual budget process.

In addition to Welch, the committee includes Irv Faunce as the selectman representative and Peter Chamberlain, Jeff Adams and Mike Wells as citizen participants.
