FARMINGTON — Two Mt. Blue Middle School students are facing disciplinary action from the school after police were called to the school Friday to deal with a mixture of chemicals that was dropped into a toilet.

The students used two chemicals to blow up a plastic bottle but no damage was done to the toilet or bathroom, said Lt. Jack Peck from the Farmington Police Department.

No one was hurt in the incident, there were no odors nor evacuation but the chemicals did leave a black residue that janitors were able to clean, he said.

Although the two 13-year-olds could be facing criminal charges, Peck, the school superintendent and principal decided it would best be handled internally. The students will have to appear before the school board at the next meeting, he said.
