SALEM, N.H. – The Lewiston Jr. Maineiacs peewee travel hockey team reached the final of the Cornucopia Cup tournament before falling to Haverhill, Mass., 2-0.

Lewiston opened the tournament with a hard-fought, 2-1 win over North Reading, Mass. Game two was a 3-2 loss to the Red Devils, decided by a goal in the final minutes.

Because of that loss, the Juniors faced a must-win game against Haverhill and walked away with a 4-0 victory to set up a rematch in the final. 

Kyle Welsh and Trent Spaulding provided strong play in goal throughout the tournament for Lewiston.
