To the most caring people of Dixfield and surrounding areas — thank you so much for all the generous donations made when a call for help went out from my sister, Vickie Carrier, and the other ladies from the Town Office to send Christmas joy to my son Scott Brown’s unit currently serving in Afghanistan.

This is the second time the ladies have put out a call for help and, once more, you wonderful people have stepped up to the plate.

As a military wife and mother, it is heartwarming to me to see the caring and support you are showing to our troops. My family, as well as many others, deeply appreciate all you have done.

Please know we wish you and your families a happy and safe holiday.

Again, thank you, for proving that kindness and support are still alive in Dixfield.
