BRUNSWICK — For the holiday season, Eveningstar Cinema will present a free showing of “The Princess Bride,” the Oscar nominated film that tells the story of how true love is the most important thing in life.

The classic fairy tale containing sword fights, giants, an evil prince and a beautiful princess captivates children while also providing laughs for adults.

Starring in the film are Robin Wright Penn as Buttercup, the beautiful princess; Cary Elwes as her love, Westley; and Peter Falk as the grandfather who reads the fairy tale to his grandson.

The showing will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19. Doors will open at 10:30 a.m. The 98-minute film is rated PG.
