AUBURN — During a recent visit, the State of Maine National Commander-in-Chief of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Tommy Tradewell announced his appointment to Arthur J. Roy, past state commander.
Roy is serving his Auburn VFW Post, 588 Minot Ave., as post adjutant and senior vice commander and will serve on the National VFW Programs Committee. As a member of the committee, he will be invited to attend the National Convention in Indianapolis, Ind., to be held Aug. 21 to 26, 2010, where he will be assigned to a convention resolutions committee. The Commander-in-Chief’s theme this year is “Honoring our military heroes.”
Roy is also serving the Department of Maine, VFW, as State chief of staff, public relations officer, State membership chairman and Veterans Memorial Cemetery chairman. Roy lives on Russell Street in Lewiston.
