Society meeting

BETHEL — Bethel Historical Society President Susan Herlihy has announced that the society will hold a special membership meeting at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the meeting room of the Dr. Moses Mason House, to consider bylaw updates and revisions.

Copies of the bylaws with the proposed changes were mailed to all members in the last issue of the society’s Broad Street Herald in November. All members are urged to attend the meeting to review and consider the changes.

Bridge results

NORWAY — The Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met at 9:15 a.m. Dec. 11, in the Fare
Share Building, Main Street. A 3 table Howell movement was played.
It was also the annual Christmas observance.

Finishing first in flight A were Pete Cummings and Denny Raymond; second, Jim Fallon and Richard Worthington, who were also were first in flight
B. Finishing second in flight B were Priscilla Rooth and Hazel Glazier.

The next game will be played at 9:15 a.m. Friday, Dec. 18. All bridge
players are welcome and a partner is guaranteed. It will be the last scheduled game for 2009.
