Trees lining Route 17 in East Dixfield were laden and drooping with heavy wet snow on Tuesday morning after a snowstorm during the night dropped a couple inches, creating slick, slushy conditions across Western Maine.

A picnic table outside the Roxbury town office on Tuesday evening was covered by about 5 to 6 inches of fresh snow from a storm that passed through western Maine early Tuesday morning.
