Worship service

SOUTH PARIS — Sharon Bouchard will be the worship leader at the First Universalist
Church, 36 Pine St., on Sunday, Dec. 20. The morning
service will be at 10 a.m. with Renee Wales leading the Sunday School
and Forest Perkins directing the music. The coffee hour will follow in
Good Cheer Hall. Child care is provided. All are welcome.

Library schedule

WATERFORD — The Waterford Library has announced its holiday schedule. The library will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 24 and 25 and Thursday and Friday, Dec.
31 and Jan. 1. The bridge group will not meet in December; the next
meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 25.

Library patrons should be aware that the library is kept open by
volunteers and may occasionally be closed due to inclement winter
weather.
Call 583-2050 to be sure the library is open if the weather is questionable.

Baby watch

BRIDGTON — A long-standing tradition at Bridgton Hospital is to honor the first
baby born at the hospital in the New Year by showering both baby and
mother with gifts from local merchants. The “First Born 2010”
program will start its baby watch at midnight on Friday, Jan. 1.

Merchants interested in being a part of the tradition are encouraged to contact the community relations and

Merchant donations will be recognized when the New Year baby and family
are announced.
