MEXICO – Rumford Lodge of Elks Nol. 862 will hold its annual boys’ and girls’ hoop shoot Sunday, Dec. 20 at Mexico Recreation Center. Registration is at 8 a.m., with the shoot starting at 9 a.m. Age categories are 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13.

Each participant must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and bring a birth certificate. Children are encouraged to bring a friend. Trophies will be awarded to the top three in each age category. First-place winners will advance to the district championship. There also are state, regional and national championship competitions for anyone who continues winning.
