LIVERMORE FALLS – Chandler White hit a foul-line jumper with three seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime, then scored eight of his team’s 10 points in the extra session to lead Livermore Falls to a 68-60 win over Monmouth in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday night.

White finished with a game-high 28 points along with five rebounds and five assists. Nate Michaud added eight points for the Andies (4-1).

Robbie Neal paced Monmouth (4-2) with 21 points while Corey Dyke added 20 points.

Jay 65, Lisbon 40

LISBON – Austin Clark dominated the paint with 16 points and bushels of rebounds to lead Jay to a 65-40 triumph over Lisbon in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday night.

Zach Bonnevie added 14 points and Jordan DeMillo chipped in with 12 points for Jay (4-1).

Mike Degou tallied 14 points to lead Lisbon (0-6).

Boothbay 66, Telstar 53

BETHEL – Telstar cut Boothbay’s 15-point halftime lead to seven points late in the third quarter, but the Seahawks held on Friday for a 66-53 MVC boys’ basketball win.

Dan Dickinson scored 19 points and Jake Simmons 16 for Boothbay (4-1). They combined for four 3-pointers. Boothbay increased a 22-12 lead to 35-20 at the break before the Rebels (2-4) briefly rallied.

Daniel Vaughn led all scorers with 31 points for Telstar. T.J. O’Connor tallied 10.

St. Dom’s 47, Madison 32

MADISON – Sophomore guard Peter Keaney recorded a game-high 18 points. with five assists and five steals, as St. Dom’s sailed to a 47-32 victory over Madison in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Saints (3-2) built a good foundation in the first half, taking a 26-11 lead at intermission. St. Dom’s extended its lead with a 17-4 run in the third quarter.

The Bulldogs (2-4) trimmed the deficit by 13 points in the fourth quarter as St. Dom’s coasted into port. Senior guard Cody Small scored 11 points, while junior forward Cody Briggs added another 10 points for Madison.

Dirigo 64, Winthrop 50

WINTHROP – Senior guard Tyler Chiasson scored a team-high 18 points to pace Dirigo to a 64-50 victory over Winthrop in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The undefeated Cougars (6-0) turned up the pressure in the second quarter with a 24-11 run, taking a 38-26 margin at the midpoint.

Dirigo relaxed a bit in the third quarter, allowing their lead to be trimmed by four. But, the Cougars picked up the tempo again in the final frame. Senior forwad Kyle Hutchinson contributed 14 points for the Cougars.

Senior forward Cory Staples notched a game-high 24 points for the Ramblers (2-4) in the losing effort.

Valley 54, Rangeley 40

RABNGEEY – Cameron Miller scored 25 points to lift unbeaten Valley to a 54-40 victory over Rangeley in an EWC boys’ basketball game Friday.

The Cavaliers (5-0) built a 9-6 advantage after one quarter and slwoly increased the lead the rest of the way. The lead grew to 25-16 and 37-27 after the middle frames.

Scott Stevens chipped in with 10 points for Valley.

Rangeley (0-5) was led by Zeke Hall with 10 points. Eric White and Austin Figoli added eight apiece.

Wiscasset 55, Mt. Abram 53

SALEM – Cody Griffin tossed a game-high 21 points, including 11 from the line, to power Wiscasset to a 55-53 come-from-behind victory over Mt. Abram in MVC boys’ basketball action Friday.

The Roadrunners (0-6) dashed to a 19-5 first quarter lead, and maintained their momentum with a 30-17 halftime margin. Senior guards Jim Barker and Jarrod Blood scored 19 and 15 points, respectively.

The Redskins (1-5) regrouped in the second half, outpacing the Roadrunners 17-11 in the thrid quarter and 21-12 in the final frame. Jordan Jones chipped in with 10 points.

Wiscasset was 14-of-22 from the free-throw line, while Mt. Abram only made five of its nine opportunities from the charity stripe.
