LEWISTON — Alphonse and Doris (Doyon) Theberge of Lewiston recently celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. They were married on Oct. 3, 1959, at St. Peter’s Chapel in Lewiston.

They have four children, Richard, (the late) Carol, Gary and Tina.

A surprise celebration was held at Marco’s Restaurant on Nov. 7. Many of the couple’s immediate family members and a few close friends were in attendance. Memory candles were lit in honor of loved ones who have passed away, especially for the couple’s loving daughter, Carol Theberge who passed away in 1994.

Wedding photos and photos of family and friends were displayed for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening.
