Marilyn N. Eugley
LEWISTON — Marilyn Norton Eugley, 80, of Auburn, died Thursday, Dec. 17, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a brief illness.
She was born in Auburn on July 25, 1929, a daughter of Harvey N. and Addie Rowe Norton. She graduated from Edward Little High School in 1947.
On Sept. 4, 1948, she married Bruce L. Eugley of Lewiston, who died in 2002. She was devoted to and loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In years past, Marilyn supported the Rotary Anns, an extension of Rotary, the community service organization. She later started Eugley Antiques with her husband, Bruce, and ran it for more than 30 years. They also ran a flea market booth in Freeport for many years. She was a member of the Sixth Street Congregational Church in Auburn. She enjoyed reading books, flower arranging, gardening, and spending time in Cundy’s Harbor as well as traveling with her son, Robert, and his wife, Diane.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Eugley and her fiance, Sonny Lovell, of Portland; three sons, Robert Eugley and his wife, Diane, of San Diego, Ronald Eugley and his wife, Deborah, of Auburn, and William Eugley and his wife, Tina, of Auburn; her sister, Helen Norton, of Red Feather Lakes, Colo.; five grandchildren, Brandon Lovell of Portland, Vanessa Harris of Carlsbad, Calif., Gillian Schlichting of New Braunfels, Texas, Chris Eugley of San Diego, and Nick Eugley of Auburn; and four great-grandchildren, Evan Harris, Cheyenne Harris, Ian Eugley and Kyle Eugley.
