Germaine B. Doherty

CANTON — Germaine B. Doherty, 96, formerly of Rumford, died Monday, Dec. 21, at her residence at Victorian Villa Living Center.
She was born in Chisholm, April 9, 1913, the daughter of Joseph and Marie (Beaudoin) Morisset and had attended Rumford schools. She was a communicant of St. Athanasius-St. John Church.
She was married in Rumford on Feb. 12, 1929 to Charles “Buster” Doherty, who died in Rumford on Jan. 25, 1976.
Survivors include her sons, Richard Doherty and wife, Jean and Raymond and wife, Barbara, both of Rumford; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by daughters, Ann Marie Bryden and Barbara Clark; a sister, Jeannette Tremblay; and a brother, Lucien Morisset.
