The Rumford Hospital Annual Appeal 2009-2010 has raised more than $30,000. Barbara Belanger, Rumford Hospital auxiliary president, believes that donors were excited about the funds from last year’s appeal being used to purchase equipment for the enlarged Therapy Services Department and other up-to-the-minute equipment the hospital has purchased recently, such as digital mammography and the bone density scanner. "Knowing that their gifts are put to good use, bringing high quality health care to the River Valley, makes people excited to give," she said. Belanger is pictured looking over some of the gifts to the annual appeal.
