LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free fused glass bowl workshop to cancer patients, survivors and caregivers.

“An Invitation to Your Guardian Angel: A Creative Fused Glass Bowl Workshop” will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at the Maine Glass Art Studio, 51 Main St., Lisbon Falls.

Melanoma cancer survivor and Maine Glass Art Studio founder Nel Bernard will explain the concept of angel cards and explain how to decorate bowls with fusible glass. Bowls will be kiln-fired, slumped into shape ready for use as an angel card reservoir or display piece.
