PORTLAND — Good Theater will present “The Spitfire Grill,” the award-winning musical by James Vlacq and Fred Alley, beginning Jan. 21 and running through Feb. 14.

A hit off-Broadway in 2001, “The Spitfire Grill” tells the story of Percy who has been in prison for the past five years. She decides to come to a small town in Wisconsin to begin her new life. The town is fading until Percy brings hope and life to the citizens of Gilead.

The heartwarming musical, based on the film by Lee David Zlotoff, has a cast of seven under the direction of Good Theater’s artistic director, Brian P. Allen.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, $20; at 7:30 p.m. Friday, $22; at 8 p.m. Saturday, $28/$25; and at 2 p.m. Sunday, $28/$25. In addition, there will be shows at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27 ($15) and at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 ($22).
