Theresa ‘Terry’ Poulin
1928 – 2010

MANSFIELD, Conn. — Theresa “Terry” (Lafrance) Poulin, 81, of Mansfield Center, Conn., beloved wife of the late Roland Poulin, passed away peacefully at Mansfield Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation, Saturday, Jan. 2.

She was born, raised and educated in Lewiston, the daughter of Edmond and Maria (Beaulieu) Lafrance. From 1961 until her retirement in 1986, she was employed at Electro-Motive Manufacturing Co., Mansfield State Training School and Semco.

Above all, Terry cherished her family and eagerly embraced any opportunity for family celebrations or spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed camping, traveling, reading and needlework. She will be dearly remembered and missed for her enduring love, her quiet strength and witty comebacks.

She is survived by two daughters and their spouses, Sandra and John Popeleski of Mansfield Center and Diane and Walter Erikson of Merrimack, N.H.; two sons and their spouses, Richard and Sandra Poulin of Warner Robins, Ga., and Michael and Sandra Poulin of Abington, Conn.; six grandchildren, Jana and Luke Popeleski and Benjamin, Derrick, Melissa and Michael Poulin; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Gilberte Bourgoin of Chandler, Ariz., with whom she lived for several years; three brothers, Rosaire Lafrance and Bertrand Lafrance of Lewiston and Leonard Lafrance of Venice, Fla.; and numerous sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Lafrance and Richard Lafrance.
