AUBURN — The Central Maine Community College Corporate and Community Services Department will offer a bartending course from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 20 through March 24. The cost is $350 and includes materials.
Students will learn the basics of professional bartending and mixology and its application in restaurants, clubs and function facilities. Upon successful completion, students will have learned how to professionally prepare traditional drinks and today’s trendy drinks.
The program also includes the Maine Course, a six-hour seminar in the responsible service of alcohol. Participants will learn the functional level that is acceptable to the State of Maine Liquor Commission and the Department of Human Services.
The course will be taught by Larry Risko.
